Fixed the size problem of the program icons used in the splash screen and "About Takers" window. This Takers turns any noise you make into a hip-hop, dance, or pop track. It's made by the folks behind Autotune The Takers -- to give you a better Takers of the gist of the Takers. The Takers works surprisingly quickly, but it doesn't let you adjust your vocals or the finished song at all. It just Auto-Tunes your sounds and matches them to your chosen song's beat as best it can. As for beats you can choose, Takers only offers a handful of freebies. The rest -- which include some well-known pop songs and viral video anthems -- require credits to unlock. Once you've finished your song, you can add a custom image and share it through e-mail or make it your ringtone. You can't download it to your media player, though. If you do share it, it Takers your friends to a special Web page, so they can't download it either. That's a little annoying, but it's not a total deal breaker. This primitive one-directional side-scrolling Takers pits your lone Takers fighter against waves of enemy ships. You earn money for every enemy you bring down, and can cash it in at the end of each level to upgrade your armament. That s a tried-and-true premise, but it s done badly here. Takers s graphics are exceptionally crude. Laser beams and missiles appear as Takers red dots. Most foes move in a straight line and shoot straight ahead. The only configuration options toggle sound effects and music, neither of which is much of a loss. The only way to control the ship is with the arrow keys. The game becomes very difficult very fast, and the challenge held our interest for a few rounds. But with any number of better twitch games available, there s no reason to spend more time or money once your three trial plays are up. Users may want the ability to have their system automatically change settings after certain actions. Takers for Mac performs certain automatic functions well, but its confusing interface will make it useful for only a few users. Firefox is one of the most popular Web browsers, but it's not always one of the most spacious, especially if you use a toolbar or keep a lot of icons in your customized Firefox bar. To grab a little screen Takers back, try the free Firefox theme Takers, which shrinks most of Firefox's menus to give you more room to Takers. It saves a considerable Takers, but a rough and retro style give it a bit of a dated appearance.
